What is the Power Platform?

The Power Platform provides a range of integrated tools that can be used to build enterprise applications, rapidly. As a capability of your organisation's very own Microsoft cloud environment, it can unlock the potential of all your Microsoft applications. It helps you easily manipulate, surface, automate, and analyse data.

Power Platform comes with a data platform called Dataverse, which provides a unified and simplified data schema that allows applications to work together. Onboarding an enterprise application like Power Framework is simple and secure. Data is securely located in your own Microsoft cloud tenant and no data is hosted elsewhere.

Four key products form the foundation of the Power Platform:

  • power-apps

    Power Apps

  • power-bi

    Power BI

  • power-automate

    Power Automate

  • power-virtual-agents

    Power Virtual Agents

Power apps

The low-code solution for app development

Power Apps enables rapid application development through a 'low-code' approach. Solutions can be built by power users and IT staff who lack development skills. At the same time, professional developers benefit from Power Apps by allowing complex coded features to be embedded when needed.

With Power Apps you can:

  • build-icon

Build mobile-friendly apps quickly and without development knowledge

  • key-data-icon

Surface key data into a user-friendly app to help data entry

  • thris-party-data-icon

Power Framework is built with Power Apps. Any personalisation you need can be delivered quickly and cost effectively. And there’s no limit to the potential for customisation and extension.

Customise at speed to deliver solutions specific to your needs. Build solutions in days, not months.

  • automation-icon (1)

    Automation

Boost productivity by automating time-consuming and repetitive processes like alerts, data compilation, and report creation.

  • integration-icon

    Integration

Out-of-the-box connectors let you merge data trapped in disparate silos. Whether that’s Microsoft service or third-party apps.

  • business-intelligence-icon (1)
